Our Story

Tech for Life was born in 2016 when we were running Newcastle’s first co-working space and start-up hub, Campus North, and putting on coding events for kids there.

It was obvious there was a huge need for something that would give more young people from all backgrounds the chance to learn, develop skills, and access opportunities in the growing digital and tech sectors. Our team has since been delivering a variety of events, programmes and initiatives in the North East and beyond.

Through our immersion in the tech sector we are acutely aware of the digital skills gaps and the absolute priority this has to be for businesses, the economy and our future workforce. We are also committed to ensuring there is positive action towards building a diverse workforce where gender equity and balance is the norm.

Tech for Life is focused on two core areas within the digital and technology sector: skills and diversity. With our unique experience and insights we have developed programmes for each, which involve industry experts, cutting edge knowledge, and innovative ways of learning.
